Location. The Arcotel Rubin is located in Hamburg, Germany within three kilometres of Speicherstadt, the historic section of the port, and four kilometres of Reeperbahn Street, where much of Hamburg's night life is found. The train station is located one kilometre from the hotel.
Hotel Features. The hotel is set in St. George's quarter and in a cubic shaped property. This seven storey building is ruby red in colour and post modern in design. Multilingual staff are available at the front desk around the clock to assist with organising tours. Guests can relax with a drink in the bar, work out on the fitness equipment and de stress in the sauna. There are beauty treatment rooms and other amenities include room service (limited hours) and garage parking (surcharge).
Arcotel Rubin serves breakfast each morning for a surcharge. The hotel restaurant serves regional dishes for lunch and dinner in a contemporary setting. Coffees and cakes are on sale in the hotel caf�.
There are six conference rooms available at the Arcotel Rubin Hotel and complimentary wireless Internet access is available throughout.
Guestrooms. Arcotel Rubin offers 217 air conditioned guestrooms. Designed by Austrian architect and industrial designer Harald Schreiber, all rooms feature modern decor and amenities, including satellite television, CD and DVD players, desks, Internet access, minibars and safes. Bathrooms are complete with hair dryers and shower/tub combinations.
Expert Tip. The Binnenalster (meaning inner Alster) is one of two artificial lakes within the city limits of Hamburg, formed by the river Alster. Located two kilometres from the hotel, boating, swimming, fishing and bird watching are all available. Caf�s, bars, restaurants and shops line the waterfront.

From Hamburg International Airport (HAM):
Distance to Arcotel Rubin is 10 kilometres, approximately 20 minutes' drive.
Getting there. Taxis from the airport to Hamburg city centre cost approximately 20 25 EUR, and journey time is around 30 minutes. Yellow Airport Express buses run every 20 minutes from Terminals 1 and 4 to Hamburg's central station (Hauptbahnhof). Single tickets cost 5 EUR and the journey takes 30 minutes. The number 110 bus runs to Ohlsdorf station (for the U Bahn and S Bahn) every 10 minutes. Subway line U1 and rail lines S11 and S1 run from this station. Private shuttle services travel to destinations across Hamburg. Prices are all subject to change.
Getting around. Hamburg's public transport system (HVV) includes underground trains (U Bahn), rapid transit trains (S Bahn), harbour ferries, and buses. Daily tickets entitle the user to unlimited travel on all public transport, including the airport bus (number 110). The centre is easy to explore on foot.
