The Galo Resort Ondamar is a peaceful holiday complex set in lush oceanfront gardens, located eight kilometres from the Palheiro Golf Course and 12 kilometres from Funchal. Its 124 bright, modern guestrooms have simple furnishings and cool tiled floors. Rooms lead out onto balconies with ocean views and amenities include cable television, direct dial phones, minibars, and hair dryers.

Golf enthusiasts can enjoy a game at the Palheiro Golf Course eight kilometres away, visit the town of Funchal, take a stroll in the botanical gardens, or enjoy a fun day out at the Aquapark, all 12 kilometres away. From the airport take the highway towards Fuchal until exiting at Canico de Baixo. Once in the town, follow signs for the Galo Resort Ondamar, followed by the sign indicating 'Hoteis'. At the end of the road turn right and the hotel is on the right.
